           Hialeah reflection

This presentation taught me many new things about Hialeah’s history. After studying its past, I started to understand how Hialeah transformed into a lively city. Over the years, many events took place, including the arrival of the railroad and the Cuban Revolution, which attracted many new residents to the area.A critical turning point in the history of Hialeah was the 1959 Cuban Revolution.Cubans migrated to the United States look for regarding safety and relief as a result of political divisions in their homeland. Cuban immigrants swiftly established Hialeah as a major gathering place, bringing their culture, and spirit to start a business with them. Hialeah's reputation as a city with a significant Cuban American population was shaped by this stream of blood, which turned the area into a doing well historical humanity. I'm thankful for the chance to study Hialeah's history, and I'm willing to find out more about how it continues to shape its present and future. The 20th century brought its own set of challenges, such as changes in society, the need for housing, and urban growth. The growth was supported by community initiatives, new housing projects, and upgrades to infrastructure. Despite these challenges, the people of Hialeah stayed committed to preserving their cultural heritage, which continues to be a vital part of the city's identity today. Hialeah was influenced by a lot of Cuban immigrants. You can see Cuban flags, hear their music, and taste delicious food throughout the city's neighborhoods.

Events like the annual Cuban Festival celebrate their culture . Hialeah is called "the city of Cuban Americans." Thanks to the community's hard work and this wave of immigrants, Hialeah turned into a great, strong, and beautiful place. The arrival of Cuban immigrants turned Hialeah into a lively, multicultural city.Known as having one of the largest Cuban communities outside of Cuba. Such as hard work, and a sense of pride, the people changed Hialeah into a colorful, cultural one. I learned that especially during times of change and challenges, the stories and efforts of the people help the city. As more immigrants moved into Hialeah , the city started to expand. To serve the neighbors , some families made  small farms, while others started building  residences and businesses. Even though particularly during difficult economic times, the community remained resilient. In order to assist the local economy recover during difficult times, farmers started to plant a variety of crops and other alternatives. After learning about Hialeah's history, I realized that cities are not just buildings and roads. They are influenced by the experiences, dreams, and hard work of the people who live there. Hialeah teaches us that communities can become stronger through determination and teamwork. I'm really happy I got to learn about this city's past because it helped me understand how towns develop and succeed.

What amazes me is that the migration in the 1980s was really important for Hialeah's culture to survive and grow.  The people  faced many challenges like learning a new language, finding jobs, and getting used to life in a new country. They worked hard, supported each other, and built a strong and hopeful community.  I think it's amazing that these families kept going and moving forward and also brought big contributions to the culture. My classmate was explaining that many people from across Latin America, especially Cuba, and other Central American countries, moved to Hialeah during the 1980s. The primary reasons for this migration were political and economic issues in their home countries, including dictatorships, wars, and conflicts. Seeking for help, stability, better and bigger  opportunities in the United States, numerous families escaped their native lands. Hialeah was an attractive place  for these immigrants due to its large Cuban community, where they felt they could connect with people who shared their culture and language.A significant number of new homes were constructed due to this wave of migration.  As the demand for housing grew among families, many houses and apartment complexes were developed.   These families showed resilience in the face of the hardships of relocating, learning a new language, and adjusting to a different country.  They supported each other and built a strong community focused on a common goal enhancing their own lives and those of their children.

In my presentation, I tried to grab these stories in a way that would catch my classmates attention. I included images and facts to make my speech more interesting. I also worked on speaking clearly and confidently so that everyone could follow along. When I wrapped up, I felt a sense of pride because I managed to teach my classmates something new and share what I know about Hialeah.I found out that when I share what I know, I can teach others about different communities. This made us value the diversity in our surroundings, which is why I understood how important it is to listen to stories and learn about history.I found out that when I share what I know, I can teach others about different communities.  This has helped us value the diversity in our surroundings, which made me understand how important it is to listen to stories and learn about history.
